
Vallejo is grappling with its second homicide of the year following a fatal shooting on Valentine's Day, as the Vallejo Police Department confirmed in a late-night incident on Sheldon Avenue that left an adult female dead. Officers arrived at the scene around 11:57 p.m. and discovered the victim with at least one gunshot wound. Medical aid was rendered immediately, but she ultimately succumbed to her injuries, as per the Vallejo Police Department.
The investigation quickly progressed, and the VPD Detective Division identified 27-year-old Imani Marquise Robinson, a Vacaville resident, as the suspect. He was apprehended on Monday through a coordinated operation between VPD and the Vacaville Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team and the Critical Incident Negotiation Team (CINT). Robinson is now in custody at Solano County Jail on a murder charge, pending further legal action.
The victim’s identity remains undisclosed pending the notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
