Wake Forest Downtown, Inc. (WFD), the nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting downtown Wake Forest's economic health, is calling out to vendors and nonprofits interested in participating in the upcoming 2025 Forest Fest. This outdoor celebration is set for Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., promising a day of family-friendly activities focused on nature in the town's center. As reported by the Town of Wake Forest's news release, the online application process is open until Sunday for those wishing to be part of this event.
According to the same source, although food trucks are already in place for the festivity no more food vendors will be needed; meanwhile, applications from vendors that offer products and services related to the outdoor theme of Forest Fest are highly encouraged. The vendor fee is set at $75, however, nonprofits can set up their booths at no cost, adhering to WFD’s intention of fostering community engagement and education on environmental subjects.
With space at a premium and interest in Forest Fest on the rise, WFD is faced with the necessity to selectively determine participant involvement, ensuring alignment with the event's focus on the outdoors and nature. As the official announcement specifies, a committee from WFD will review all applications to assess their relevance and connection to the essence of Forest Fest as well as to manage the limited spatial capacity, striking a balance between variety and thematic consistency.
