A fatal incident involving a pedestrian and a northbound Amtrak train has recently occurred on the Union Pacific rail line in Clackamas. The accident, which took place near SE 82nd Avenue yesterday at approximately 10:13 a.m., resulted in the death of a female victim. The circumstances suggest she may have been on or near the tracks when the collision happened, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputies who responded to the scene confirmed the involvement of the Amtrak train. As the investigation unfolds, the Sheriff’s Office is not working alone; both Amtrak and Union Pacific Railroad are involved in a supportive role.

Furthermore, the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office also partakes in the ongoing investigation. As for the individuals aboard the train, no injuries were reported among passengers or the crew.
