
Last Sunday morning in Grand Rapids, a woman was injured in a domestic assault and taken to the hospital. Police responded around 4 a.m. to Division Avenue near Sutton Street SW, where they found evidence of a confrontation between a man and a woman. According to WOOD TV, the woman left the home with the children before police arrived.
When police arrived, the man had barricaded himself inside the home. Negotiations took place until he surrendered. Both the man and woman had non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was taken to the hospital for further treatment, as reported by FOX 17.
The Grand Rapids Police are investigating a domestic assault where children in the home were confirmed to be uninjured.
