The Wright County Sheriff's Office has released its arrest report for the period ending February 24, detailing a series of incidents across the county. The report, which can be found on the official Wright County Sheriff's Office website, includes charges ranging from Driving After Cancellation to more severe offenses like 2nd Degree Assault.
Among those arrested is Michael David Chadwick, 43, of Monticello, who was apprehended in Monticello on a charge of Driving After Cancellation on February 17th. On the same day, a total of four individuals, including Chadwick, found themselves facing varying charges. Aliya Marie Crane, 20, from Crystal, was arrested in Silver Creek Township for possessing a pistol without a permit and a 5th Degree Controlled Substance offense. Driving After Cancellation was also the reason behind Nathan Paul Brooks' arrest, 35, from Austin, who was taken into custody in Delano on February 19th.
The report highlights a significant number of DWI-related arrests, totaling 19 for the period, as well as various controlled substance violations, assaults, and property crimes. Domestic violence also punctuates the log with Dominic Marcus Clifford, 30, of Monticello, arrested in Monticello on charges of Domestic Assault and Interfering with Emergency Phone Calls, illustrating that underlying social issues continue to challenge the community.
The slew of arrests across the county underscores ongoing law enforcement efforts to curb criminal activities. February 19th saw multiple individuals detained on warrants for misdemeanors and felonies, including Jesse Robert Lien, 46, from East Bethel. Lien was arrested in Anoka County on a theft warrant and a 5th Degree Controlled Substance charge brought Wade Allen MacDonald, 42, of Buffalo back to the halls of justice in Buffalo. Amidst the routine enforcement, traffic incidents also marked the week with 24 Property Damage Accidents, 5 Personal Injury Accidents, 2 Hit and Run Accidents, and 9 Car Deer Accidents reported.
In addition to traffic-related arrests, the Sheriff's Office enforced laws against underage drinking with one arrest for Underage Consumption. Violations concerning the safety of school children were highlighted by 2 School Bus Stop Arm Violations, while the 144 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations reflect a continued clampdown on road offenses, aiming to maintain the safety and order of Wright County's thoroughfares.
