
Yesterday evening, a young father in his early 20s was fatally shot in front of his girlfriend and 5-year-old child at a gas station located in northwest Houston. According to Click2Houston, the shooting occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on W Tidwell near Gunh Road. The man had briefly stepped inside the gas station to get change and upon returning to his car where his girlfriend and child were waiting, a black vehicle approached and a passenger opened fire, striking him multiple times.
Authorities arrived at the gas station on 8101 West Tidwell Road swiftly, where they attempted to administer life-saving measures including CPR, until the Houston Fire Department assumed control and confirmed the man's death. Lieutenant Willkens noted that a bullet hit the man's car. The victim's girlfriend and child were unharmed, as mentioned on a FOX 26 Houston report.
The investigation is ongoing, with the Houston Police Department urging anyone with information to come forward by calling Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
