Last Saturday night, an incident rattled the Lewisville community as police responded to a report of gunfire. According to the Lewisville Police Department's social media post, at about 8:26 pm, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South State Highway 121 Business after shots were heard in the area. They found a young man of 21 years old in his car, inflicted with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts to quickly save his life, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

The aftermath of the shooting led to an immediate investigation by the Lewisville Police. They began to process the scene extensively, interviewed potential witnesses, and canvassed nearby areas to gather any thread that could lead to unearth a motive and identify suspects. As mentioned by the department, the investigation is still to grow any leads actively, and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to step forward. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner is expected to confirm the identity of the deceased shortly.
