YouTube sensation turned coffee entrepreneur, Emma Chamberlain, has officially ventured into the brick-and-mortar cafe business with the opening of her first-ever Chamberlain Coffee shop, housed within Los Angeles' bustling Westfield Century City Mall, according to LA Eater. Launched on January 30, the cafe’s inauguration came as something of a surprise, announced on the opening day itself via the brand's Instagram account.
The arrival of Chamberlain Coffee's physical outpost marks a bold leap from its origins as a mail-order company, which Chamberlain has been nurturing since 2019. Fans have come to admire her relatable approach to life's daily grind, from closet clear-outs to high-end fashion escapades in Paris. It's been reported that her brand kicked off with a video on preparing her home brew, quickly accumulating over 4 million views, as per LA Eater.
Until now, Chamberlain Coffee's physical presence relied on temporary pop-ups in collaboration with brands like Warby Parker. The new cafe, however, offers a permanent locale for patrons to indulge in "classic coffee drinks like cold brew, lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, espresso, mocha, and drip coffee," as LA Eater states. There’s also an option—dubbed “Emma’s Way”—featuring almond milk and dairy-free creamer for the espresso-focused. Signature concoctions at the cafe include an imaginative array like a peanut butter mocha and a salted pistachio mocha.
The coffee shop doesn't merely settle for being another caffeine pit-stop; it stands out by offering an array of customizable syrups—vanilla to lavender—and tea options, such as a matcha latte and a striking blue matcha latte with butterfly pea powder. But to simply define Chamberlain Coffee by its drinks would undersell its culinary spread, which dishes out assorted pastries ranging from a miso kouign amann to an olive oil cake. "We can’t wait for you to see what we've been working on," proclaimed the brand on Instagram, as noted by chamberlaincoffee.
Chamberlain's Coffee Haven joins a lineup of impressive dining venues within the Century City Mall, enhancing the gourmet landscape ahead of other anticipated openings slated for 2025. The cafe, located at 10250 Santa Monica Boulevard, operates Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 9 pm, Fridays and Saturdays until 10 pm, and on Sundays from 9 am to 8 pm, ready to serve the Los Angeles community every day of the week.
