According to a post on the Yuba County District Attorney's Office Facebook page, the instruction was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the California Office of Traffic Safety and a skilled team from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

Representatives from Placer, Nevada, and Colusa Counties joined their Yuba counterparts for this two-day thorough event where the science behind field sobriety tests and their correlation to impairment took center stage; however, it's not just the mechanics of these tests that were on the agenda but also an alcohol correlation study, which had participants administer field sobriety tests on volunteers who had consumed alcohol to the legal impairment threshold of .08%, "I didn’t realize how much alcohol a person has to actually consume to reach a blood alcohol level of .08%,” declared Yuba County Deputy DA Kristina Joslin, spotlighting the deceptive nature of blood alcohol content as she experienced firsthand the stark reality of how "a couple' drinks" are effectively measured against these standardized tests.
