
Early Tuesday morning, an 18-wheeler crashed on Interstate 37 north of Pleasanton near the Bexar-Atascosa county line, spilling its frozen cargo. Another vehicle was involved, and all northbound lanes are closed. No injuries have been reported, according to KSAT.
According to Sergeant Deon Cockrell from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred near the intersection of I-37 and FM 536. Debris on the roadway is causing congestion, and drivers are advised to find alternate routes. FOX San Antonio reports that the accident happened around 1 a.m., with cleanup crews arriving around 6 a.m.
Northbound traffic from Pleasanton is being rerouted due to a spill just south of the Bexar County line, affecting traffic into the area during cleanup. Local authorities and highway crews are working to clear the scene, with KSAT stating, "Crews working to remove contents from the truck and the road."
