The Arlington Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident that left a 20-year-old motorcyclist dead after a collision with a car on Wednesday. The accident took place at the intersection of S. Cooper Street and Wimbledon Drive around 2:18 p.m., according to the Arlington Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the unresponsive motorcyclist on the roadway, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. It was found that the motorcyclist had been traveling northbound when they collided with a 2015 Honda Accord attempting to turn left onto the eastbound lanes of Wimbledon Drive. This collision caused the young man to be ejected from his motorcycle and caused the Accord to spin around. Speed has not been ruled out as a potential contributing factor, and the crash remains under current investigation.

The driver of the Honda Accord was reported to have stopped immediately after the accident, stayed on site, and cooperated with the police. As per the latest updates, the driver has not been charged with any criminal offenses in this fatal crash. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is set to release the name of the motorcyclist who lost his life in the unforeseen event.
