A 48-year-old man, Donshay Falls, has been arrested and charged in connection with a January homicide that occurred in a Nashville duplex, according to local authorities. The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) confirmed that Falls was apprehended last Thursday on Boatner Drive, as reported by WSMV. The victim, 29-year-old Jonathan Keith, succumbed to injuries sustained from the shooting that took place on January 12, inside a residence on Brickdale Lane.
Falls is accused of having used Keith's own firearm to fatally shoot him. After the incident, he allegedly dragged Keith outside and tried to hastily clean up the scene before the arrival of police officers. MNPD labeled Falls as a "career drug criminal" upon announcing the homicide charge, as per FOX17.
Witnesses were reportedly present during the time of the incident and multiple individuals have identified Falls as the shooter, according to the police account. This evidence has played a vital role in the charges levied against him. As pointed out by WKRN, Falls was charged with criminal homicide months after the shooting, despite significant delay in the investigation and charges.
There was a notable presence of multiple witnesses in the duplex when the confrontation and subsequent shooting unfolded. Falls then pulled Keith outside and tried to clean up the crime scene before the officers arrived, states the MNPD in a release, which WKRN cited.
