
The 48th annual Atlanta Jazz Festival will take place over Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26, at Piedmont Park. The free event will feature a variety of jazz performances from swing to contemporary styles.
According to the City of Atlanta, performances on May 24 include Khari Cabral & JIVA and Derrick Hodge. May 25 will feature Ravi Coltrane and the Russell Gunn & Blackhawk Quartet, while the festival concludes Monday with Dianne Reeves and Joe Gransden’s Big Band.
A pre-festival concert on May 23 at Atlanta Symphony Hall will feature pianist Robert Glasper and vocalist Baby Rose.
The festival will also offer a Publix Kidzone with interactive activities and book giveaways. Food vendors will be on-site with a variety of cuisine, and attendees are reminded of park rules, including no grilling, pets, tents, or glass containers.
