Pozitivf, a San Antonio-based fertility clinic, has opened a new branch in Houston, offering IVF treatments at a lower cost. According to Click2Houston, while traditional IVF can cost over $16,000 per round, Pozitivf's cycles start at about $8,400. Chief Revenue Officer Beto Paris stated, "We really want to make high-quality IVF affordable to as many people as possible" and emphasized, "Obviously without sacrificing safety and with as good or better quality as anybody else, quality meaning will get you the family that you want." Fox26Houston reported, "For the longest time, only people in the top 7% of wealth distribution could actually afford to go through IVF." Pozitivf aims to make the treatment more accessible.
The clinic reduces costs by streamlining the process and cutting down on the number of visits. Paris explained, "The average visits to treatment, that’s from the first time you see the clinic to when you start treatment, is about six in the industry. That’s the industry standard. We can do it in as little as two visits and then you can start treatment." This saves patients time and lowers costs. Some tests can also be done at local labs, reducing the need for in-clinic visits, as stated by Click2Houston.
Erin Thompson, who underwent IVF at Pozitivf, shared her experience with Fox26Houston. She encouraged couples to consider IVF without shame, noting its increasing commonality. Thompson welcomed her daughter, Ella, nine and a half months ago. According to Pozitivf Fertility, about 600 families have used their services, resulting in approximately 300 births. While no fertility treatment guarantees pregnancy, the clinic aims to make IVF more affordable and accessible.
