An Akron neighborhood was the focal point of a significant drug bust, with local authorities successfully apprehending a man implicated in narcotics and related criminal activities. The Akron Police Department shared details of the arrest on their social media channels, indicating that the Anti-Violence Bureau conducted an operation that resulted in the seizure of large quantities of drugs, cash, and a stolen firearm.
During the deliberate morning raid of a residence located at the 2100 block of 22nd Street S.W., officers managed not only to capture the suspect securely but also to recover a considerable cache of illegal substances. Among the seized items were 382 grams of methamphetamines, 47 grams of suspected fentanyl, 30 Xanax bars, 4 grams of crack cocaine, nearly $2600 in currency, and a handgun outfitted with an extended magazine that had been reported stolen. The Akron Police Department outlined this information in a post on Facebook.
Lexington Jacobs, 30, identified as the target of the investigation, was arrested and is now facing several charges. These include Weapons under Disability, two counts of Trafficking, Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of Drugs. The Akron Police Department reported that Jacobs, who was taken in without incident, has since been transported and booked into the Summit County Jail.
