If you're heading to Halehaka Road this Friday, consider an alternate route. The Department of Public Works and GP Roadway Solutions will close lanes from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 28 for guardrail repairs and installations, weather permitting. Expect some traffic delays.
Be sure to plan ahead, as parking will be banned in work zones, and flaggers will be directing traffic, so don’t try to rush through. According to the County of Kauai official press release, this is the time to "make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary lane closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations."
