The incidents occurred during late-night hours between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m., near the crossroads of State Road 436 and Wymore Road. In a statement reported by WFTV, Altamonte Springs resident Shauna Brownlowe expressed her discomfort with these events, especially as a mother: "With me having a child so young It’s not something I am comfortable with happening in my area."
Police encourage residents, especially women traveling or working late, to be vigilant. Teaunka Porter, a resident who often drives home alone after night shifts, shared her concerns during an interview with WESH: "To hear that this has happened is kind of a little scary." These sentiments are becoming increasingly common as the community grapples with the unease from the attacks.
Authorities have released a description of the suspect, seeking the public's help in capturing him before another attack occurs. Described as a possibly White or Hispanic male, the suspect appears to be in his 20s or 30s, around six feet tall with a slim build, and was last seen wearing dark clothing paired with white shoes. An employee from Fiesta Cancun recounted the latest known attack to WFTV, where a female DoorDash driver was ambushed shortly after retrieving an order from the restaurant.
The Altamonte Springs Police Department has yet to conclusively link the series of assaults, as reported by FOX 35 Orlando. They are still working to determine if the suspect is following a particular pattern when choosing his victims or if these are isolated incidents. Surveillance video has been released, showing the suspect pacing outside an establishment before one of the attacks.
