The Lone Star state is gearing up for one of its biggest celebrations of Western sports and culture, as PBR (Professional Bull Riders) has announced its action-packed schedule for the 2025 PBR World Finals. According to the City of Arlington's official news release, the event, which is scheduled from May 8-18, will take place in Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas. It will capture the heart of cowboy culture, bringing together human and animal athletes to compete for prestigious titles and significant cash prizes.
The festival will start in Fort Worth's Stockyards and Cowtown Coliseum before moving to Arlington's AT&T Stadium, allowing fans to catch all the thrills easily. One of the highlights will undoubtedly be Kid Rock's Rock N Rodeo on May 16, blending classic rodeo competition with rock n' roll in a format sure to draw crowds. Among the diverse attractions, fans will have the chance to witness the toughness and elegance of the Women’s Rodeo World Championship, which features hundreds of female athletes vying for a landmark $802,000 purse. This event is set to introduce goat-tying to its roster of competitions, further amplifying its range of Western sports.
Apart from the adrenaline surge of bull riding, expect to fill your itinerary with lifestyle events that are largely free to attend. You’ve got your pick of music, charity golf, spiritual cowboy church sessions, not to mention the Ariat Boot Trot 5K/3K – a foot race for which cowboy boots are a prerequisite. The festival promises something for everyone, making it a full-on Texas-sized party.
It's not all about watching the bulls, though. If you want to participate actively, saddle up for the PBR World Finals Golf Tournament on May 13. According to the official announcement, this inaugural event will benefit the Western Sports Foundation. And, of course, there’s a smattering of musical performances scheduled throughout the two weeks, blending country and cowboy vibes to deliver an authentic Texas experience.
