A recent burglary at Hall Electric Company in Arlington led to the arrest of a man accused of stealing tools and materials worth around $80,000. Action News 5 reported that the Shelby County Sheriff's Office responded on Monday after an employee discovered copper wiring, circuit breakers, and several power tools were missing. Five company vans were also burglarized.
The suspect, 38-year-old Timothy Sullivan, was found at his Cordova residence. According to WREG, detectives observed Sullivan allegedly unloading items from a rental truck into his garage. A search warrant led to the recovery of stolen items, and Sullivan was charged with theft of property and six counts of burglary.
Investigations revealed a rental truck was parked near a gas station close to Hall Electric’s property. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook that deputies traced the vehicle to Sullivan, which led to his arrest and the recovery of the stolen goods.
Detectives are also looking into possible connections to other thefts in the Mid-South area. Sullivan was booked into the main jail at 201 Poplar Avenue.
