The United Football League's 2025 season is kicking off with a bang as the Arlington Renegades prepare to face the San Antonio Brahmas this Saturday. According to the City of Arlington announcement, the game will start at 3 p.m. at Choctaw Stadium, and FOX will broadcast it nationally, giving fans nationwide a reason to tune in.
All eyes will be on the Renegades' new mascot, Billy the Bandit, who'll be revealed for the first time during Saturday's opener. Designed to ramp up the crowd with its bold antics, and just part of a whole host of pre-game activities, which include interactive games, live music by the Lancaster High School Drum Corps, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon artists, and a photo booth not to mention live media setups and team giveaways at the Full Throttle Tailgate, launching at 1:30 p.m. in the Centerfield Plaza.
The Renegades have cooked up the "Blue Solo Cup" activation in an ode to Toby Keith. At this special third-quarter break, Keith's hit "Red Solo Cup" will resonate through the stadium. At the same time, beverages will be sold in blue Renegade-branded Solo cups. A portion of the proceeds from these sales will support one of Toby Keith's foundations, with special Blue Solo Cup merchandise and cups available for purchase at the team store to bolster the charitable effort.
Further celebrating community spirit, the Renegades have named the National Medal of Honor Museum their Community Game Day Partner for the opener—a nod towards the team's drive to back influential local establishments. Meanwhile, the Lancaster High School Marching Band will not only stir up energy at the Tailgate but will also deliver Adrian Bonner's saxophone take on the national anthem and a halftime performance to keep the momentum high.
