
After over a year of investigation, authorities have arrested Orlando Anderson, 31, in connection with the homicide of Jeremy Johnson, 32, in Northwest Washington. Anderson, who has no fixed address, was taken into custody yesterday and faces charges for Johnson’s murder.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred on February 12, 2024, when police responded to reports of gunfire on the 900 block of Shepherd Street. Upon arrival, officers found Johnson, who had been shot and was later declared dead at the scene despite attempts to save him.
Anderson was arrested under a DC Superior Court warrant and charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed. Details about the events leading to the shooting have not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
