
Baltimore County firefighters quickly responded to a brush fire near Charles Street last night. As reported by FOX Baltimore, the flames were first seen in the wooded area of the 6500 block, close to Sheppard Pratt Hospital.
The fire department arrived on the scene around 8:30 p.m., and by 9:55 p.m., the situation was under control. Officials have yet to release information on the potential cause of the fire, and it remains unclear at this time the extent of the financial or ecological damage inflicted.
According to WMAR-2 News, the fire covered roughly 1.5 acres and was contained and extinguished with no reported injuries or damaged structures. Additional updates will follow as more information becomes available.
