Yesterday, the Baltimore County Police Department reported the arrest of former priest William "Father Bill" Mannion, 62, for alleged child sexual abuse dating back to the early '90s. According to a Baltimore County official report, Mannion was taken into custody without incident and is accused of offenses from 1991 through 1994 on St. Agnes Lane.

Mannion is currently facing charges of second-degree child abuse and multiple sex offenses. A statement from the Archdiocese of Baltimore indicates that he requested to be removed from the priesthood in the late '90s for reasons not related to abuse, with his removal finalized in 2004. 

The investigation into Mannion's alleged activities started following a tip-off to the Baltimore County Police Department's Crimes Against Children Unit in October 2023.
