
Baltimore police have apprehended 30-year-old Kileal Kenton in connection with a shooting that took place last month in the Northwest District. Kenton is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder after allegedly shooting a 22-year-old male victim on February 20. The incident unfolded in the 3300 block of Powhatan Avenue, where the victim was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
According to a statement obtained by the Baltimore Police Department's news release, the arrest took place last Friday without incident. Kenton was detained in the 3200 block of Brightwood Avenue and subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. There, the suspect was charged and awaits further legal proceedings.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was reported to have arrived at a family member's residence after sustaining the injury. They were transported to an area hospital and were said to be in stable condition. At the time of the crime, officers responding to the scene were initially unable to locate a crime scene, prompting an ongoing investigation.
