Howard County authorities have slapped a 27-year-old Baltimore man, Robert Bennett Jr., with a slew of charges, including sex trafficking, armed robbery, and weapons violations. Bennett, nicknamed "RoFo," faces 47 counts related to a series of alleged incidents at the Terrace Motel in Elkridge.
Acting on a tip received in November 2024, detectives embarked on an investigation into Bennett, claiming that during two months, he arranged prostitution dates for several adult female victims, asserted power over them by providing drugs and threatening violence, and then took their money, which he sometimes did while brandishing a gun. Investigative efforts led to Bennett's arrest on Feb. 6, when police took him into custody, according to details from Howard County's official release.
In addition to the alleged crimes against female victims, Bennett is also accused of assaulting and robbing a male victim, whom he had supplied with drugs. As a result of these charges, Bennett has been ordered to be held without bond at the Howard County Detention Center. The arrested individuals were immediately referred to local organizations for support services.
Howard County is strengthening its efforts to fight human trafficking and related crimes. They are focused on helping victims with housing, treatment, and transportation.
