The initial episode unfolded late at night on October 13, 2024, where officers, after responding to reports of an armed carjacking on Chestnut Hill Road found the senior victim with a serious head injury, which was later determined to be a gunshot wound to the head, investigators having followed the trail of evidence over these intervening months leading up to the apprehension of Eldridge.
