Residents of Bel Air were greeted with an unusual sight early Monday morning as the aftermath of a home burglary left streets dotted with cash and designer handbags. The Los Angeles Police Department is actively searching for at least two suspects after being called to the 15000 block of Milldale Drive, just east of the 405 Freeway, around 1 a.m. to reports of a burglary. According to NBC Los Angeles, investigators found dozens of $100 bills and several high-end purses discarded on and around a parked red car.

Police officers had to use a ladder to climb over the home's gate and proceeded to call out for any occupants to emerge. The suspects, described by the LAPD as two males wearing all black, apparently fled on foot and successfully made their getaway in a car before the authorities arrived, KTLA noted.

It was unclear whether anyone was inside the home during the burglary. No injuries were reported. As part of the ongoing investigation, police are reviewing surveillance footage from the neighborhood, as mentioned in an article by CBS Los Angeles.
