Bellevue residents have the opportunity to shape city services by applying for a position on the Human Services Commission. The commission advises the City Council on human services planning and funding, helping ensure city initiatives meet the diverse needs of Bellevue’s population.
According to the City of Bellevue, meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6 p.m. These sessions provide a platform for commissioners to discuss important issues and allow for public participation. Serving on the commission is voluntary, with a four-year term, and appointments are made by the mayor with City Council approval.
Bellevue encourages individuals from all backgrounds to apply. However, applicants must be residents of Bellevue to ensure they have a deep understanding of the community.
Applications can be submitted either online or on paper. Paper applications are available at the City Clerk’s Office or local libraries, while an online application is also provided. The deadline to apply is on Friday next week.
