
Seattle's Belltown community is dealing with a fatal stabbing that occurred on Monday last week. According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, a 55-year-old man died from injuries sustained in stabbing by an unidentified attacker.
Officers responded to a call at 1:30 a.m. and found the victim on the 2100 block of 1st Avenue, suffering from a severe abdominal wound. They provided initial medical aid before Seattle Fire Department paramedics took over and transported him to Harborview Medical Center in stable but serious condition.
The victim, whose name has not been released, died last Sunday. The case has now been taken over by homicide detectives, who are working to determine the events leading to the stabbing and identify the attacker.
