Troutdale, usually a quiet town, is under the spotlight after the discovery of a man's body at a local Home Depot parking lot has got the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and East County Major Crimes Team detectives combing the scene for answers. According to a recent release from the MCSO, the body was found early morning on Saturday, and despite the odd circumstances behind the corpse's resting place atop a pyramid of shopping carts, investigators noticed no clear signs of harm done to the body.
The deceased has not yet been identified, pending an autopsy by the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death and confirm his identity. Once confirmed, the next of kin will be notified.
Details remain scarce, but deputies on-site swiftly secured the area and began meticulously gathering evidence to understand the circumstances leading to the man’s death. The welfare check that led to this discovery was called in around 5 a.m., and MCSO deputies promptly responded to 25101 SE Stark Street.
The investigation is decidedly ongoing and the MCSO will release more information as it becomes available.
