The Boston Police Department has issued an urgent call to the public to aid in the search for missing 17-year-old Edward "Neddy" Kelly. As reported on the official Boston Police website, Kelly was last seen fleeing from the Albert Holland School in Dorchester at around 12:45 p.m., and has not been sighted since.
According to the details provided, wearing gray jeans, a white tie-dye jacket, an Ed Hardy sweatshirt, and was carrying a black backpack, Kelly is autistic and may require assistance. Residents and anyone who frequents the area around 60 Washington St., where the school is located, are encouraged to keep an eye out for the youth. Neddy has Falmouth roots but is currently living in a group home in Framingham.
Police and family of the teen are concerned for his well-being and are asking for anyone with information about Kelly's whereabouts to come forward. The public can reach out to various contact points offered by the authorities—which include direct phone numbers to Boston Police detectives, a DCF social worker, and an after-hours DCF hotline—ensuring multiple avenues for tips to be shared.
