After a detailed investigation lasting over three years, authorities have made a significant breakthrough in a Houston homicide case dating back to 2021. Lorenzo Thomas, a 35-year-old man, has been arrested and faces capital murder charges in connection with the fatal shooting that took the life of Patrick Fotso, 39 - events that took a violent turn on October 19, 2021, at 9800 Ledge Street around 8:10 p.m., according to the official Houston Police Department news release.
On arriving at the scene, Houston Police Department patrol officers found Fotso, the victim, lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response of the Houston Fire Department paramedics, Fotso's injuries were fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Over the course of the investigation, Thomas emerged as the prime suspect, his connection to the crime materializing into an arrest made on March 13, as reported by Houston Police Department Homicide Division Detectives N. Henderson, L. Osborn, S. Chettry, and H. Martinez.
