Fans of Iron Maiden's frontman, Bruce Dickinson, have reason to celebrate as the singer announces his first solo North American tour in nearly three decades, including a performance at Phoenix's Marquee Theatre on August 25. Dickinson is set to bring his latest album, "The Mandrake Project," to audiences across the continent, with the tour kicking off on August 22 in Anaheim, California, and concluding October 5 in Los Angeles, California, as reported by Phoenix New Times.
The "Run For Your Lives World Tour" with Iron Maiden will not include Phoenix through at least 2026, so the upcoming solo tour is a rare opportunity for fans in the area to witness Dickinson's prowess live. Phoenix New Times explained that his solo endeavor has been a long time coming since his last album in 2005, "Tyranny of Souls." Phoenix has hosted Iron Maiden several times in the past, with their recent gigs delivering the expected noise and theatricality that keep fans coming back for more. Now, they've got Bruce Dickinson on his own—albeit backed by a talented new crew.
According to Loudwire, Dickinson has shared his excitement for the tour, stating, "We are thrilled to be able to take The Mandrake Project out for a proper tour of North America," and confirming the addition of the song "Shadow of The Gods" to the setlist, which will showcase his band's capabilities. Notably, the upcoming tour is set to feature new band members, including bassist Tanya O’Callaghan, drummer Dave Moreno, keyboardist Mistheria, and guitarists Philip Naslund and Chris DeClercq.
Tickets for the tour will be available on Friday, March 7, at 10 AM local time, with special pre-sales starting a day earlier. Further details and the full list of dates can be obtained from The Mandrake Project's website. Those interested in experiencing this auditory spectacle should mark their calendars and prepare for a relentless barrage of powerful music, likened to Iron Maiden's own energetic expression, as Dickinson and company make their way across North America, bringing an expected level of hard-rocking precision and dynamism to fans old and new.
