A rollover crash in Penn Hills yesterday required urgent action from both bystanders and first responders. According to reports from WPXI, the incident occurred in the 600 block of Rodi Road, where a vehicle was found on its roof in a stream near the intersections of Tulip Road and Hoover Road. Prior to the arrival of firefighters, bystanders had already removed the driver from the overturned vehicle.

In a post, the Penn Hills Volunteer Fire Company disclosed that they had rushed to the location after getting calls regarding the crash.  The first responders found the vehicle submerged at the location above. The rescued driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries while en route to the hospital, WTAE reported. The driver was the vehicle’s sole occupant during the accident.

There is an ongoing investigation into what caused the accident, where the driver thankfully only suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
