The Calistoga Police Department has resolved a recent hit-and-run incident due to diligent investigative work and cooperation from local business owners. According to the department's social media post, officers responded to an accident last Tuesday at the Lake Street & SR29 intersection, where they discovered property damage to a cement wall. With vital assistance from the business owner, security camera footage revealed that the vehicle traveling westbound on the Silverado Trail had failed to stop at the intersection's stop sign before colliding with the wall and fleeing the scene.

The next day, last Wednesday, the suspected vehicle was found within the city limits, showing the damage that matched the incident.

The registered owner was contacted and eventually admitted to being involved in the accident. Both parties involved have agreed to exchange information and resolve the matter between themselves, the Calistoga Police Department reported.
