A 17-year-old boy has been charged with vehicular hijacking, a felony, following an arrest on Tuesday, in connection with a November incident where a vehicle was forcibly taken from a 29-year-old woman.
According to a press release from the Chicago Police Department, the male juvenile was apprehended by the department's Vehicular Hijacking Task Force.
The teen was identified as the perpetrator in the vehicular hijacking that occurred on November 2, 2024, in the 2900 block of N. Keating Ave within the city's 25th District. He is now facing serious legal repercussions. The juvenile detention hearing took place yesterday at 1100 S. Hamilton, the details of which including the outcome or any potential measures taken concerning the juvenile's future, are not immediately available at this time.
