
Chicago has been rocked by a recent act of violence that occurred on a CTA platform in the city. Tiara Lee-Roberts, of the 4900 block of W. Rice, faces grim accusations in the aftermath of a shooting that resulted in the death of a 30-year-old woman. According to a report from the Chicago Police Department, the 28-year-old Lee-Roberts is charged with one felony count of First Degree Murder and one felony count of Murder - Strong Possibility Death/Injure.
Events are said to quickly have unfolded on the evening of March 18th, where at approximately 11:50 p.m., Lee-Roberts was arrested on suspicion of her involvement in the tragic incident. She had been identified as the individual responsible for the killing that took place approximately two hours earlier on the train platform located in the 0-100 block of W. 69th St. Despite having been placed in custody, the details surrounding the motive and circumstances of the shooting remain tightly held, with no additional information made available at the time.
Lee-Roberts is scheduled to face a detention hearing today at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California.
