The Jones Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue intersection will undergo construction over the next two weekends as part of the Jones Boulevard improvement project. The work includes road resurfacing and traffic signal upgrades. The intersection will remain open with some lane reductions, according to the Clark County.
Roadwork on Tropicana Avenue will begin on Friday and continue through the early hours of March 24, focusing on the south side of Tropicana and the southeast/southwest corners of Jones Boulevard. Lanes will shift Saturday evening as crews move from east to west. The second phase starts on March 28, targeting the north side of Tropicana and the northeast/northwest corners, with final paving and temporary striping planned for Sunday night, as reported by the Clark County.
Clark County Public Works advises drivers to stay alert and consider alternate routes due to ongoing construction, which may change unexpectedly. Real-time traffic updates are available on Waze, Google Maps, or Apple Maps. Local businesses will retain access with at least two entry points open at all times, though some driveways may close temporarily with flaggers assisting traffic flow.
