For those looking to take a more active role in shaping their communities in Clark County, there's good news – the application deadline for a number of Town Advisory Board (TAB) and Citizen Advisory Council (CAC) positions has been extended, with positions open on the Enterprise and Moapa TABs, along with the Lower Kyle Canyon CAC. Clark County residents have the chance to weigh in on development proposals, voice community concerns, and offer their local perspective directly to the County Commission.
Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick emphasized the importance of these advisory positions: "These advisory positions are vital to ensuring community voices are heard in local government decisions," she said, according to a Clark County press release. And with Commissioner Michael Naft noting, "A position on the Enterprise TAB is additional opportunity for community involvement and leadership," it's clear that the county regards these roles as pivotal for the civic engagement and shaping the future of these neighborhoods; this is not simply about attending meetings, but about making a tangible impact.
The Clark County Commission is slated to appoint the new advisory board members on April 15, following the new application deadline of April 1st at 5:30 p.m. Interested parties should bring their commitment and readiness to partake in annual training sessions – as well as a residence within the bounds of the TAB or CAC for which they apply, and eligibility to vote – to the table.
Applications are now open on the Clark County website. You can also apply by emailing [email protected].
