Local police are currently investigating a shooting that left one person injured. According to a police report published by the Columbus Division of Police, officers responded to an area hospital following a report of a gunshot victim who had walked in seeking treatment.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, reported that the incident occurred near the intersection of McGuffey Rd. and Loretta Ave. Despite prompt action by law enforcement, no crime scene was nearby. The victim received medical attention and is expected to be released following recovery.
