
The Columbus Division of Police is currently seeking assistance from the public in regard to a shooting that resulted in the death of a young man and left three other adults injured. The incident occurred on Thursday in the 400 block of Kimball Pl., according to a social media post by the Columbus Division of Police. Authorities were alerted to the shooting around 7:03 p.m., arriving to discover Marquise Williams Jr., 20, critically wounded.
Despite being quickly transported from the scene, Williams's injuries proved fatal, with his death confirmed at 10:31 p.m. on the same day, while the other three victims have been reported to be in stable condition and the investigation into the shooting, which appears to stem from a disagreement between one of the survivors and another man is ongoing, with detectives reaching out for public cooperation in gathering evidence. In their appeal, the Columbus Police urged individuals with cameras within the specified area of interest to review and submit footage that could aid the investigation by using a provided QR code or uploading directly through a URL made available in their post.
