The Commerce City Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in solving a perplexing and brutal incident that unfolded in Rosehill Grange Park late last night. In a social media post that has since been shared widely, the department detailed how events took a violent turn when a man riding a 3-wheeler was pursued and then mowed down by a vehicle described as a 1970s white Ford Pinto or Maverick. "PLEASE SHARE: We need your help solving a bizarre and violent crime that occurred last night just after 8 o’clock inside Rosehill Grange Park," as per the Commerce City Police Department.
The sequence began with the ATV rider being chased by a Honda Odyssey minivan, which was then joined by the aforementioned Pinto or Maverick, which appeared to run over the rider deliberately. Following the assault, both vehicles made a swift exit from the scene, leaving the injured man behind, who, according to officers, is thankfully on the mend after being rushed to the hospital. As of now, the motive behind this vehicular attack remains a mystery.
Investigators are urging anyone who recognizes the Honda Odyssey shown in surveillance footage or who spots a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's car, likely with front-end damage and possibly streaked with blue paint, to come forward.
