In an effort to revitalize the Historic Westside of Clark County, Commissioner William McCurdy II, along with development partners Brinshore Development, have laid out plans for a groundbreaking development initiative. Slated to begin on March 20 at 10 a.m. PT, this new mixed-use development combines affordable workforce housing with various commercial spaces aimed at bolstering local businesses and entrepreneurs. The ceremony is open to the public, with live entertainment and refreshments, and community members are encouraged to RSVP for the event, details regarding participation can be found on Clark County's official website.
The project, amounting a substantial investment of $53 million, is anticipated to provide 76 housing units alongside over 20,000 square feet designated for retail, office, restaurant, and entrepreneurial spaces. It strategically positions itself to aid entrepreneurs while offering Clark County residents who earn 80% or below the area median income with quality housing options. The units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, will offer rents estimated between $900 to $1800 a month, aiming to address the critical need for affordable housing in the vicinity.
Commissioner William McCurdy II, representatives from Brinshore Development LLC, community partners, and local entrepreneurs will be present at the 620 W. Lake Mead Blvd location to mark the occasion. The development site is strategically positioned next to the Las Vegas Culinary Academy and Nevada Partners, offering numerous opportunities for workforce development and supporting business incubation in the area.
Those planning to attend the event on March 20 are to note that doors open at 9:30 a.m. with a program scheduled from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., concluding at 12:00 p.m. For convenience, public parking will be available at Nevada Partners' main lot, located at 650 W Lake Mead Blvd. A map and additional event details are accessible on the county's website.
