A quiet Dallas neighborhood was disrupted by violence last week when a man was fatally shot on Owega Avenue. According to a release from the Dallas Police Department, at approximately 7:55 AM last Saturday, officers responded to a shooting call in the 1500 block. They discovered an unresponsive male, later pronounced dead by Dallas Fire-Rescue at the scene.
The case, filed under number 036516-2025, is currently under investigation following the swift arrest of 33-year-old Tevyn Perkins, who has been charged with the murder of the yet-to-be-formally identified victim. Dallas Police Department reported that the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office is aiding police in the identification process.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading to the shooting or the connection between the suspect and the victim. Despite the arrest of Perkins, the police continue their work, piecing together the events of that fatal morning. In their ongoing quest for justice, the role of the community could prove pivotal so that Detective Guy Curtis can be reached at 214-671-3633 or via email at [email protected] should anyone have information to share.
