Authorities paid tribute yesterday to one of their late officers, Carl Joel Norris, badge number #1773, who lost his life in the line of duty over four decades ago.
On March 2, 1983, while Norris was investigating a multi-vehicle collision, a tractor-trailer struck and fatally crushed his patrol car. The Dallas Police Department honored the 42nd anniversary of Officer Norris's death with a social media post on Facebook, using the hashtag #GoneButNotForgotten.
