Tragedy struck in Dallas when 17-year-old Casey Smith was discovered shot in a car after what initially appeared to be a simple accident call. Dallas Police were called to the scene in the 1500 block of E. Overton Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to information provided by the Dallas Police Department.
Upon arriving, authorities found Smith wounded from a gunshot, prompting immediate transport to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the young man did not survive his injuries. The investigation has unearthed that the shooting occurred on the 3500 block of Ramona Avenue, it is believed, Smith then managed to drive himself to where officers later found him.
