
A tragic event unfolded in Dallas where a man was fatally shot, prompting an investigation by local authorities. The Dallas police department managed to identify the victim as 58-year-old Christopher Simms, following a shooting on Frankford Road.
Officers were called to the scene at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Thursday. Upon their arrival at the 2600 block of Frankford Road, they discovered Simms with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue was quick to respond, yet Simms was pronounced dead at the location, according to the Dallas Police Department.
The case is now an active homicide investigation, designated under case number 042805-2025. Efforts to understand the circumstances that led to Simms' untimely death are ongoing, with the Denton County Medical Examiner’s Office being called in to assist.
