In a recent announcement from the City of Dallas and FIFA, the much-anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026 venue and related plans for the city were unveiled. City officials and FIFA representatives convened at Dallas City Hall to discuss the upcoming event. Among those leading the conversation was Monica Paul, President of the North Texas FIFA World Cup 26 Organizing Committee, and the Honorable Eric L. Johnson, the Mayor of Dallas.
High-level planning and coordination by FIFA, the North Texas FIFA World Cup 26 Organizing Committee, and the City of Dallas have been instrumental in shaping the upcoming global soccer fest.
Slated for 12:45 p.m., the press briefing was staged at the Dallas City Hall's Flag Room. In addition to the previously mentioned personalities, Amy Hopfinger, Chief Business and Strategy Officer for the FIFA World Cup 26, Zarin Gracey, a key council member overseeing sports recruitment and retention in Dallas, and Kimberly Bizor Tolbert, the City Manager, shared the dais. Jesse Moreno, another City Council Member from District 2 of Dallas, was also in attendance. Together, they set the tone for what's anticipated to be a transformative event in the city's history.
