This recent achievement comes on the heels of the inaugural class of 38 graduates last October, with DPD stating that "on March 7, as family and friends looked on, 35 more women followed in their footsteps." The EmpowHer Academy takes its attendees through various aspects of police work, from a precision driving course to self-defense, and a tour of the firearms range, where they learn about firearm safety and see target practice firsthand, it's a full dive into the law enforcement universe.
