The Denver Police Department has turned to the public, issuing a call for assistance on social media this Wednesday to locate one Nicholas Gutierrez, sought on multiple charges. Gutierrez has found himself on the wrong side of the law, wanted for "FAILURE TO COMPLY - ASSAULT and FAILURE TO APPEAR - DU," according to the Denver Police Department.
In an attempt to tap into community resources, the police have labeled the initiative "WANTED WEDNESDAY" and have provided a means for the public to submit tips anonymously, should they spot Gutierrez or come into knowledge of his whereabouts, individuals are encouraged to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867) or to submit a tip online through their website, the intent is to bring him into custody while maintaining safety for all involved.
The Denver Police has also left a note directly for the suspect on the Facebook post, which reads: "If you turn yourself in, we will expire this post upon confirmation of your booking," as obtained by the Denver Police Department. This suggests a direct line of communication between law enforcement and the wanted individual, providing a pathway for Gutierrez to rectify his standing with law enforcement amicably.
